I met a lovely friend of mine last week for coffee and cake at Café Elixir. Mrs C, a new Mum, was having a well-deserved break. This café is always very busy and I often pass it when Little Chef and I are visiting the lovely new Wanneroo Library – they are in the same building.
We both chose the Red Velvet Cake, from the large range of cakes on offer – they change daily. It looked rich and scrumptious and it was!!!
The coffee at Elixir is fabulous. They use locally roasted Five senses coffee. Elixirs coffee makers are all qualified baristas. I had a large Chai Latte – I love it when it’s served in the traditional bowl! It was very good; spot-on in fact!
Elixir is also incredibly popular for breakfast and lunch. Next time I fully intend to try their breakfast/brunch menu. I’ve been kicking myself for not going more often, as this really should be my local! The staff are warm and welcoming and the café is also very child-friendly.
